A senior full-time San Diego-based employee whose main responsibility will be to manage a team of experts/consultants to refine and expand the Scientist brand.

Responsibilities
  • Advance Scientist.com’s email marketing (suppliers and clients)
  • Create and manage paid advertisements including digital, print, radio, billboard, etc.
  • Manage and expand Scientist.com’s presence at scientific and technical conferences (global)
  • Build a supplier advertisement platform
  • Innovate Scientist.com’s social media accounts including Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook etc.
  • Coordinate all media outreach including blogs and press releases

Job Description

Half-time to full-time Boston-based employee or consultant whose main responsibility will be to connect with, train, and engage marketplace Scientist-users by phone, email, and in person.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site marketplace support for pharmaceutical and biotech companies in the Boston/Massachusetts/Connecticut areas
  • Explain and educate new users on the benefits of using the marketplace
  • Run regular on-site training sessions and office hours for scientists using the marketplace
  • Develop face-to-face customer relationships with scientists and business operations
  • Troubleshoot and assist when users have questions/concerns/issues about the marketplace
  • Present summaries and updates at weekly internal team meetings
  • Promote the Scientist brand by identifying and attending networking/social events aimed at the scientific research industry
  • Attend conferences to promote the Scientist brand
Job Requirements

We are looking for a Ruby developer with experience in application development, cloud deployment and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have a passion for building beautiful, simple applications with cutting-edge technology.   • Identifying superfluous or obsolete functionality and removing it from the code base
  • Refactoring existing features and functionality into its simplest form (and no simpler)

Full-time Boston-based employee who will be responsible for creating and leading a new set of bioinformatics and data science services offerings through the Scientist.com marketplace.

Job Responsibilities
  • Review, optimize and fulfill bioinformatics, and data-science sourcing requests that span discovery, translational, clinical and regulatory domains
  • Interact directly with scientists to understand and refine their technical requirements
  • Carry out online background research as needed
  • Attend data-science conferences
  • Identify innovative new data-science tools and make them available through the marketplace
  • Continually identify, update, select, and integrate qualified bioinformatics and data-sciences partners
  • Verify user and supplier compliance with any regulatory or internal procurement policies
