Webinar Summary

  • How to maximize force development in cardiac slices.
  • How and why to acquire resting sarcomere length.
  • How to best load calcium indicators in cardiac slice and optimizing fluorescence signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).

Unlike isolated cardiomyocytes, cardiac tissue slices better preserve native myocardial tissue, including both fibroblasts and myocytes. And unlike whole heart studies, slices are better suited for acquisition of functional parameters like calcium transients. Unlike both models, however, cardiac slices have not been widely utilized.

This demo is exclusively available to those who attend live.
