Investing in ways to address social risk factors and health disparities related to treatments for burdensome conditions has become a critical component of advancing health equity in the US healthcare system. The foundation of understanding these treatment outcome inequities and of closing healthcare gaps is real-world evidence (RWE) generation and health economics and outcomes research (HEOR).
