Unlock the full potential of photoacoustic imaging (PAI) for evaluation of the tumor microenvironment at VisualSonics' Advanced Photoacoustic Imaging Workshop.
This event features top photoacoustic thought leaders in the field - Prof. Annarosa Arcangeli, Richard Bouchard, PhD, and Russell Witte, PhD.
Discover the newest possibilities in preclinical imaging with the Vevo F2 LAZR-X20 and see all the capabilities this imaging platform offers. The speakers walk you through a demo of the system and at the end of the event, alongside VisualSonics experts, answer PAI questions.
Speaker Presentations:
Dr. Annarosa Arcangeli - Application of Photoacoustics and Shear Wave Elastography in Preclinical Oncology
Dr. Richard Bouchard - Photoacoustic molecular imaging of cancer using targeted JICG nanoprobes
Dr. Russell Witte - Short-wave Photoacoustic Imaging of Water, Lipid and Collagen for Assessing Cancer and Stroke
Presenters

Annarosa Arcangeli
For almost thirty years, Dr. Arcangeli has been involved in studies aimed at defining the biophysical aspects of intracellular signaling by controlling cell growth and differentiation of tumor cells. She contributed to unravel the action mechanism of widely used inducers of tumor cell differentiation, such as the "hybrid polar compounds" (HPC). She also focused on the role of potassium channels, in particular, the hERG1 channel, in the governance of the resting potential, cellular ionic homeostasis and cell signaling in normal and cancer cells.

Richard Bouchard
Dr. Richard Bouchard has focused his research program on clinically translatable photoacoustic-ultrasonic (PAUS), CEUS, and acoustic radiation force (ARF)-based elasticity imaging technologies.

Russell Witte
Dr. Russell Witte works closely with collaborators in the colleges of engineering, optical sciences and medicine, as well as industry, to develop cutting-edge imaging technologies that potentially improve patient care.

Kristiina Aasa
Kristiina Aasa completed her M.Sc. in Anatomy and Ph.D. in Biomedical and Molecular Sciences, both at Queen's University. She joined FUJIFILM VisualSonics 10 years ago as an Applications Scientist and is now the Product Manager.
