Biology has never been so sexy.

BioCurious, a 2,500-square-foot hacker space in Sunnyvale, opened in October with the idea that innovations in biology should be accessible, affordable and open to everyone.

Despite the tongue-in-cheek name, the community biology lab is serious about science and science education and serves amateurs, inventors and entrepreneurs – basically anyone who wants to “experiment with friends.”
